Script Frenzy + Orlok Profile
Every day I become more excited about Script Frenzy. Oh, I forgot to mention: I'm doing Script Frenzy! If you don't know what that is, it's National Novel Writing Month, except during April, and you write 100 pages of a script instead of 50,000 words. (which is a lot easier)

Anyway, I actually feel pretty confident I could do it. November is a horrible month to write. April is a wonderful month to write. My Spring term will have started, so the homework load will be light and simple. Oh, so looking forward to planning this during the break!

My account is darlingdeathbird in honor of Orlok. Like my picture? :)

And obviously I will be writing my new series, Nosferatu in Love.

I don't have pictures yet, but filling out profiles as supplied by the site, for fun.

1. Name: Count Orlok
2. Age: 492
3. Height: 6'3”
4. Eye color: Light steel grey

5. Physical appearance: Tall, lean, questionable posture, hunched shoulders, long fingers and nails. Huge honker, eyes a little close together, face has a lot of recesses, black bags under eyes, bald as a baby, pointy bat ears.

6. Strange or unique physical attributes: Besides that he's a vampire?

7. Favorite clothing style/outfit: He only has one outfit. Dark grey shoes, pants, and coat, underneath a dark grey vest with a silk black long-sleeved shirt and cravat. He doesn't care about what he's wearing – he's barely aware of his own body.

8. Where does he or she live? What is it like there?: He used to live in a castle in Transylvania, which was hardly comfortable – terribly drafty, too much space for one person. He doesn't require anything besides his coffin so when he moves into his new home, that is all he has for a while. He likes spacious, dark places; places that no one else wants to visit, so that they'll leave him alone. And he likes windows.

9. Defining gestures/movements: His hands are always poised for tearing flesh, it seems. He moves slowly and mechanically, but notions or points very abruptly and jerkily. His legs sort of skitter around when he hurries.

10. Things about his or her appearance that he or she would most like to change: He doesn't want to change anything.

11. Speaking style: Not at all talkative – a minimalist of actions and words. Doesn't use sarcasm or different tones very well. He articulates slowly and occasionally intonates incorrectly. He has a Romanian accent.

12. Pet peeves: Things don't bother him.

13. Fondest memory: He doesn't really have memories, at least not ones from a long time ago. But, perhaps, he knows he has enjoyed walks in the Transylvanian forest.

14. Hobbies/interests: No hobbies, although it can be interpreted that he once sailed ships – he's good at it! Interests don't go far beyond blood, but he likes to watch the ladies or get them to pay him attention. He's “demonically astute” according to Albin Grau, his creator, so I would infer that he likes opportunities to communicate with those idiotic occultists who have no idea he could inflict schizophrenia on them.

15. Special skills/abilities: He can move super-fast if he so desires, although not for prolonged lengths of time. He can walk through solid objects, he has telekineses, he's psychic, and he can interact with physical people only by using his “essence.” His “essence” and awareness extends way past his body, so even while he's in his coffin, he can see what's going on around it and change that.

16. Insecurities: He never had any before Ellen, and the ones he develops are fleeting, but she makes him rather aware that he can't venture into sunlight like humans do so easily; that he doesn't look appealing or trustworthy; that his approaches are bizarre and awkward. He exerts a tiny bit of effort humoring her and trying to seem more like her image of romantic appeal. I suppose that's as close to insecurity as he gets.

17. Quirks/eccentricities: No social competence, no romantic competence. Strange sense of humor (and strange unsettling laugh that comes with it.)

18. Temperament: He seems blank most of the time, and disinterested in most things. His temperament around humans is mostly predatory, but he's predatory in a very quiet and focused way, and they find it hard to tell what he's thinking. Certain situations can make him a little playful and experimental, but not always. Nothing makes him angry or depressed – he only fakes being upset. Similarly, nothing besides blood and the opportunity to touch a woman makes him passionate – in that case, his expression of passion is still rather different than a human's.

19. Negative Traits: Does not possess empathy. The illusion of empathy is him finding use in somebody and deciding to spare them. Everything is disposable to him. He's not able to evolve; will always be a shameless degenerate who steals life from others to stay alive himself, all to do the same thing over and over.

20. Things that upset him or her: Nothing upsets Orlok. Like an animal, he is hardly aware that he can be eliminated, so even if someone dumped all the dirt out of his coffin or, you know, exposed him to sunlight, he'd sort of just accept he was fucked, or be rather confused about what happened next.

21. Things that embarrass him or her: Nothing.

22. Things this character really cares about: Blood.

23. Any phobias?: Sunlight. Bright lights kind of freak him out, too. And, strangely, butterflies.

24. Things that make him or her happy: It is funny that a number of things make him happy when very few make him sad. He likes being invited into people's homes and looking at their stuff. He likes to experience warmth and comfort and physical touch. He likes a good meal on a pretty neck, some sex (weird as his attempts at it are), and getting to spend time with Ellen, even if she is suffering the whole time.

25. Family: He hasn't any.

26. Deepest, darkest secret: He doesn't have secrets.

27. Reason why he or she kept this secret so long: I'll rephrase that to why he doesn't keep secrets: he's a vampire!

28. Other people's opinions of this character: Very few people find him appealing, and those that do seem to have a few screws loose, or a misconception about him, not realizing that he's dangerous. Most feel that as soon as he comes near, they start to feel very uncomfortable, touched by static, or touched in the brain, and that they're being looked upon by several pairs of eyes. The world looks a little darker and a little less colored. (I suppose he's like a dementor, somewhat?) People think he's ugly, dirty, and smells like dirt. His offhand comments and weird sense of humor put others off, too.

29. Favorite music: Develops a fancy for Hindi pop.

30. Favorite movies: He doesn't watch movies. But if he sees one with a pretty lady, he might watch it for a few minutes.

31. Favorite TV Shows: See movies.
32. Favorite foods: Blood.
33. Favorite sports team: None.
34. Political views: None.
35. Religion/philosophy: None.

36. Dream vacation: He would like to go on a “magical” ship ride with Ellen.

37. Description of his or her house: Tall, many floors, many windows. Drafty as all hell, no furniture for a while. Looks like nobody lives there.

38. Description of his or her bedroom: His coffin is black and pretty basic. Half-filled with the dirt his body was originally buried in, leaving him room to lie in it. The coffin could be anywhere, even outside in the rain. He cannot tell the difference.

39. Any pets?: Oh yes. When he's about to move to a new city, he collects rats. But only then. He has no specific fancy for them; they're functional.

40. Best thing that has ever happened to this character: Surely something great happened to him in life, but he can't remember.

41. Worst thing that has ever happened to this character: He would claim it was that nobody will give him a backrub, or that Ellen is mean, but he doesn't really care.

42. Superstitions: He is himself a superstition. So it is easy for him to consider the reality of other superstitions, even if he cares very little about them.

43. Three words to describe this character: Disgusting, cunning, blank.

44. If a song played every time this character walked into the room: I think dead silence accompanies him.

Antagonist Q's
1. Why is he or she facing off against the protagonist?: He doesn't know he's a bad guy. He doesn't even know it while he's telling Ellen, casually, that he will eliminate Hutter or her boss, etc etc, so they can spend more time together.

2. Any likable traits?: He's playful. You cannot weird him out and he does not judge, although he pretends to sometimes. Sometimes he can reveal something about Ellen that she didn't realize. If he likes someone, he'll at least try to be sweet to them.

3. Weaknessess: Sunlight, bright lighting, pretty ladies, the promise of blood.
