I was pulled down like gravity with this picture. I just scanned it, looked at it, looked up at the television screen which was playing a bunch of hardly eventful Ghost Hunters, and decided "hmph, I'll color it a little." But I really went all out.

Inspiration for this goes way back. I once made kind of a shitty picture calling them a spider and a butterfly and have since been calling the Phantom in my story spider-like, referring to his body, movement, and effect on her. A while ago I dared myself to look up pictures on Google of spiders eating butterflies caught in their webs, and the urge to draw something like this increased.

So, tada~! ♥

The truth is, it's based on an actual scene. He comforts her and asserts himself all at once, and she's not sure if she should feel good about it. "I will be the one to be trusted from here on."

However, I wanted to dramatise it and work with the theme I chose, which is why I added the tangled web and butterfly dust on the sheets and his sleeve. She doesn't look exactly as she will in the scene, either. She doesn't have pants that color and wouldn't wear light sparkly eye-shadow, but~... ;)

I hope you all like it. It's a gift to myself (and you guys too) while I grieve about not writing it this summer. I'm at the verge of finishing my Crystal Palace business and then it will be all I'll have to focus on... I really really really want to write it, I swear.
