(Are my main sir and madam still around? I'm not sure, but it's okay if you're not.)
Over a month ago, I started writing an entry and then somehow "didn't have the time" to complete it. The words are completely foreign to me, and I lament to say I'm not sure where I was going with it, but I'll post what I have and try to tie it in with the reason I'm updating in the first place.
So here is the text from that:
I'm feeling in the mood to write, I would say. The painting thing died down once I got back home, althought not without a good chunk of site work done! 4/6 of the profiles were completed! It's just nice knowing that a lot of art has been drafted, even if not complete. Of course, there was that thing about an "interactive" tour/introduction. Was maybe going to paint "Erik"'s first note, hanging from the tree branch up there in Lily's "chill spot", Lily's room with that looming ALW poster by her bed, maybe Lily and Mariam approaching the theater in their Halloween costumes. I keep picturing a tracking shot that stays close to the pavement, so that as they walk, that building begins to tower over them / consume the frame. TBH, I grow more in love with the whole "theater refurbished from a barn" thing. I see beautiful barns on my way from my city to my hometown, and they have an effect on me now.
Oh, was also thinking about some more history for "Erik"'s family. It's funny how this never concerned me for years, and then I realized the layers the story could have by developing it, EVEN if only some of the basics was ever discovered by Lily or the other characters. My goal isn't to make "Erik" and Lily have opposite pasts, but there are some things that I plan to be very juxtaposed, and they both have long-lasting effects.
( Read below cut if you don't mind spoilers. )
Well, that was a lot of heavy shit to throw on you, and I apologize. Lighter subjects! A guest stumbled upon the first draft on FF.net and told me that it had ensnared their soul, then made an account to ask to see the last chapters. I said she couldn't (because I have been deceived too many times into granting access to people who say they will provide feedback and then lurk), but I sent her to the FB page and after she seemingly scoured the place, she sent me this:
I blushed big time. I've asked that she let me get to know her and I'll think about it. No reply yet, but good vibes, I think. That is one of my favorite comments, the "inspired to write again" bit. Multiple people have told me they were drawn back into their own projects that perhaps they'd gotten a stale feeling about, because of reading HT, and it makes me so happy.
Anyway, I was thinking of getting back to work on it, for real this time. I hate being so lazy. I hate having nothing that drives me. Nothing that I have an itch to materialize during my down time. I would literally get up and do the can-can when I finished chapters.
Unfortunately, it's gonna have to wait until after Christmas, because lord, is there Christmas stuff still to do...*shakes head*
On that note, I'd better get some shit done before work. Ta ta~,

Thanks for sharing the Facebook page - your art is great. (And is there really a website?) Your story has rung true for me, unlike any of the other fluffy stuff that is posted on this site. Prehaps it because you and I approach POTO the same way, at least from what I've gathered from your livejournal. In fact, you've inspired me to begin writing once again. I can't stop thinking about the characters you've created. I know you don't know me from Eve, but I was wondering if you would permit me to become part of the "small circle" with whom you are sharing your revised draft? I need to know how this story progresses. I simply need to. But as someone who is reluctant to share my own written musings, I do understand should you refuse my request. Thank you again, for being the fantastic author you are.
