It's missing a scene between that I didn't feel like finishing, and it needs some revision to get across everything I wanted it to, but the pilot episode is complete!

And the second episode is already 1/3 done. :)

I still need to work out this strange dynamic of comedy vs. drama. It seems like I'm going to send readers on an unpredictable journey of banter and serious conversations. I think the main reason it seems so serious so far is because Ellen is not happy with Hutter, thus not overly engaging him, and Orlok I've chosen to remain completely mysterious. He will not be getting his own scenes until after Ellen has met him.

It's just going to be such a peculiar mix! I want him to be amusing, but I want him to be scary and clearly a supernatural being who can do horrible things, but also you start to wonder how he can be sympathized with, or if he can be at all. That seemed to be the concern of my teacher when I finally told her about the script: will Orlok be likable? I told her mostly he will still be the bad guy, he just won't entirely realize it, and "he likes to dance". XD

*sigh*

Well, I'll leave what happens next to tomorrow. Goodnight!

Holy Moley, Artichokey!

I think I'm shippin' that Ellen/Hutter. I didn't think it was possible (for me) to ship anything in that movie, but grgh my pair are coming along just as they should. Hutter is so immature, and Ellen is so wistful, but they care for each other; they really do. I can already see why in the hell she would think to make such a sacrifice.

But at the same time I AM GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER to Ellen meeting the Count and it's driving me crazy! I don't ship them but their interactions will be so grand.
