Since yesterday, I had been in bed for almost 17 hours so it almost felt like I was well rested when I got up. I say *almost* because I never feel well rested.
Had coffee. Tweeted. Watched Grace and Frankie, which was uplifting. I mean, it inspired me to leave the house to run a couple errands. Can't take that for granted, what with the state I'm in. I sent one of my malfunctioning ipods back to the person I bought it from so he can check it out. Then I printed out 160pgs (the first half) of HT for Patrice. Kinkos even bound it and added a laminated front and back cover! It looked so fancy like that... it was hard not to just, like, stare and flip, and read it all over again.
Having it in my hands also kind of... made me feel good about having gotten so far. And it made me realize I had worked so hard at getting those chapters how I wanted that there wasn't really an area that felt like a serious drag / disappointment to me. The whole thing was a block of material that had the kind of intention and vision you'd want it to if you were sending it off to a professional. heh That's not to say it's perfect, but... In fact, I know plenty of red ink is going to be on this thing when I get it back.
Ahh, and I did get take-out! I had Bellagios for the first time in over a year and it didn't make me sick. It was delicious!
Anddd, to top it off, it's 9:30 and I haven't fallen into a nap. I got sucked into watching a documentary about sex and romance for women in Japan, which came to be highly entertaining towards the end because it involved Japanese men shouting on stages with megaphones to their wives/girlfriends about how great they are, and "thank you for taking care of the kids and making dinner, I LOVE YOUUUU." Also, there was a shot of people walking in the city and look what was in itttt:
A giant ad for Yu Yu Hakusho cafe!!! (omg which is now closed. le sigh) Crazy to think my absolute favorite show at the moment is culturally relevant and prominent in another country but dust in the wind here. That's not to say I want to live there, though. On the whole, it seems like women in Japan are fucked in the bad way.
