He's There
I talked with Kate last night about the next chapter, and the reason why I have put off yet another full month because of indecision. When I explained my plans and their reasoning, and she told me it sounded right, I suddenly had the confidence to do it. It did not seem to taboo and strange anymore. Well actually, it WAS strange, but this story is not supposed to be normal, and the characters are certainly not always supposed to be reasonable. Shit happens. Feelings happen. People are not as stable as we like to believe. And so the drama begins.
I also went over further along ideas and even came up with something that I'd previously been putting off.
Furthermore, I need to draw a picture of Jeffrey. No no, Jeffrey and Mariam TOGETHER. It would be very cute. He and Lily are going to have to get to know each other.
And so, 2 more weeks. It must go out with a bang of sorts.
Huggle the Puppet
Begins December 1st. I want to start planning. I just thought I would remind myself some stuff I need to do.
1.) Develop some neater ways to do layouts, without going full-on manga style. That isn't my thing.
2.) Remember that from now on, I need to color on the computer. It looks way nicer and I can give HTP all the vibrancy it deserves. One more step for quality...
3.) The 25 or so pages so far aren't going to be revised. Too many pages. I think it would be fine for everyone to see where the comic came from. And since most of the stuff is sort of out of order random events, it wouldn't much weigh down the new plans I have and the semi plot that there's going to be.
The first thing I'm gonna do is get "The Beginning" done and scan it/color it. This is the first series of plot and I really want to share it. Once that's done, I'll basically be digging through the past for ideas and putting together what Huggle the Puppet essentially is and how my house runs now that I have a son that's a puppet. It's never been explained much before! You can make guesses, but Billy really is quite a fascinating little guy.
What will probably happen is that events will be carried out in a small group of pages. (2-5) There will be gaps between the events, I do whatever I want, it's just that I will have more space to explain a bit more elaborate ideas than the ones I had in the past.
Also~~~~ Will there be connections with Wooden Light, CERTAINLY, this time.
Because the idea of Billy being alive in the first place is absurd, I thought of ways to play off of his unrealism. Some things I thought should be possible on occasion is: inanimate objects having mouths and being able to talk. Billy being able to enter fictional worlds. (He already went to Inuyasha-land and killed Kagome...) I've already got ideas beyond The Flower, like Melancholy Umbrella and Beachball. I guess what I'm getting at is that since Billy is an object himself, he doesn't find the absence of people or motion to be boring. I began suggesting such a thing in what was originally intended to be "page 1" of "chapter 2", the one where he sits in my guestroom closet all day pretending he's in a secret club.
Okay, I won't spoil anymore. XD It's gonna be great, that's all I meant.
I will probably start planning when I get home from school today and am free from tests and homework. I'm excited! For real!
